Majestic soundscapes and stoner rock vocals are in abundance on the second full release from Ukraine’s Somali Yacht Club. Sweeping groove sections will have your neck muscles working overtime trying to keep your head pointed forward, as your Chuck Taylors scream for your attention as you sway to the lazy beat. Tasteful guitar licks soar, as they lead the listener through time signature changes and mood swings.

Somali Yacht Club is an example of why I love reviewing albums. Without this platform, I never would have heard of them, and never had a chance to love them as much as I do. The album is mixed and recorded excellently, and there is nary a compositional mistake made, at least in my humble, ok maybe not so humble, opinion. They are much more than the sum of their total genres. They are Somali Yacht Club.

Recommendation – Buy this, buy the merch, and show them there is an audience for them in the U.S.
