2016 Favorite or “Best” Albums

“List” season is definitely my favorite season when it comes to music because by looking at everyones lists it allows me to quickly pick up on any great albums that I may have missed throughout the year. I always have good intentions of not letting that happen each January, but being a husband, dad, and a teacher at a year round school, it’s easy to miss new releases. There was a lot of great stuff this year and I probably listened to more “Metal” this year than any other genre, but a couple of non metal albums managed their way into my top 15. There is also a sentimental pick at #15. First though, some honorable mentions. These are albums that were pushed off my list due to a flurry of new album listening in late November that included a couple mind blowing albums.
