Sometimes 12 minutes of savagery is all you need.  If you ever find yourself in that position, look no further than this split 7″ by Italian bands Morbo and Bunker 66.  Though they differ in style, they find common ground in attitude.  Morbo crawls forth from the grave to play a grimy underground style of death metal.  There is lots of fuzz to the guitar tones, but not the fun, pleasant type.  Rather, it sounds like evil is leaking unrestrained from the strings.  Prepare for two tracks of unmitigated filth and destruction.  On the flip side we find blackened thrashers Bunker 66.  Unsurprisingly (given my known preferences), this is the side I prefer.  This is thrash metal made of corpsified parts of blackened madness.  It gallops along threatening to run you over, guitar solos and all, leaving you bloody and rent in its wake.  In keeping with the album, I’m keeping this review short and vicious.
